Temple has ministries for all ages including the nursery, children, teens, and adults. The music ministry is a vital ministry within the services to prepare the hearts of those attending for the preaching of the Bible.
One of the most visible ministries of the church is the Christian day school, Temple Baptist Christian School. To find out more about these ministries, please contact our office.
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Temple believes strongly in reaching boys and girls for Christ. Whether it is through weekly Sunday School classes for each grade level, Junior Church during the morning worship service, Kid's Club on Wednesday night, or our summer outreach of Kid's Crusade, our desire is to see boys and girls know Christ for salvation and then to grow by being discipled each week.
The ladies of Temple Baptist Church have several opportunities for growth and fellowship. They have monthly meetings where they conduct a Bible study, have a special time of prayer, and enjoy refreshments.
Many of the ladies of the church also encourage one another through a secret sister program.
The nursery ministry of Temple Baptist Church provides a safe and caring place for children from infant through three years old. Our nursery staff does a great job of keeping everything clean and organized for the children to have fun with one another. The nursery does a great job with children who are not old enough to go to "big church" yet and keep the distractions in the auditorium to a minimum.
For well over forty years, Temple has had multiple bus routes that pick up children, teens, and adults for Sunday morning church services. Scores of people have been saved and impacted for Christ in this very important ministry. Three bus routes service Manchester, Tullahoma, and Summittville. If you would like a ride to church, please contact our church office at 931-728-4911 and we will have a bus captain contact you.
TBC has a vibrant teen ministry. We believe that teenagers are not just the church of tomorrow, but also a very important part of the church of today. Many activities are planned for the teens throughout the year. Annual trips to camp are one of the biggest highlights of the summer as well. One of the most important parts of the teen ministry is the outreach program on a weekly basis.
According to Martin Luther, music is one of the greatest gifts that God has given to man. It is a way that man can worship and honor God. Music prepares the hearts of people to hear the preaching of God's Word.
At Temple, we base the music in our services from Ephesians 5:19, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" Whether it is the congregational singing, choir specials, or a soloist, the music of TBC is done in a way to give people the right opinion of who our great God is.
